About me

I’m Eric Claussen, the founder of Platonic Path. This project began as a personal search for meaning and a desire to reclaim the philosophical and spiritual depth I found in Plato, Orphism, and the great mystical traditions of the West. Over time, that search became something more: a living path, rooted in ancient wisdom but oriented toward real transformation today.

I created Platonic Path to make Platonism accessible again, not as a dry academic system, but as a spiritual tradition that speaks to the soul. I believe philosophy is not just about thinking, but about becoming just, wise, and virtuous. The truths Plato pointed to are not locked in the past; they are alive, and they are calling us to return.

My background combines a lifelong interest in metaphysics and theology with years of experience in leadership, education, and spiritual study. I’ve spent countless hours reading, writing, mentoring, and teaching, always with one goal: to recover the path of ascent to the Good, and to share it with others.

Platonic Path is my offering to those who, like me, sense there is more to life than materialism, relativism, or disenchanted modernity. It’s a place for serious seekers to explore myth, metaphysics, meditation, and moral formation. And it’s a community structured around growth, with a clear curriculum from Foundations to Guardian.
